Another fun little technical shot I had the pleasure to craft with Mathematic.

For the launch of their new streaming service, they created this really cool spot going back to the first ever ESPN broadcast on Sept. 7, 1979, with anchor Lee Leonard introducing viewers to “sports heaven” . 




My focus was on extending this incredible football moment in the most seamless way possible... which meant recreating the ball, its trajectory and motion, the environment lighting, and the camera lens flares.
All of this to be able to blend the computer generated imagery with the real footage.

That’s the image I generated to use as a base for the environment.



 An early test I did for another concept for the shot, playing with some quick cloud FX sim.
