One of my favorite French Sci-Fi book growing up, I decided a long time ago that I would try at some point in my life to adapt this story to the screen.

While I’m still waiting for the opportunity to arise, I created this animated sequence as a mean to manifest my wish into existence, and a good practice run for a new experimental workflow I had in mind to try.

Using AI tools to help speeding up the process, this entire animation took about 4 days to be completed.

For this specific effect I was looking to acheive (paintbrush strokes/chalk), the recipe ended up being the following for most of the shots:

Midjourney (v7) > Photoshop > Luma DreamMachine (Ray2) > AfterEffects + VideoGogh
